Welcome to ÜAZ Waren/Grevesmühlen
On 14th September 1990 Überbetriebliches Ausbildungszentrum Waren e.
V. (ÜAZ – Transregional Apprenticeship Centre; registered association) was
established with the aim of adapting to changed vocational conditions after
German Reunification.
This was the beginning of the apprenticeship centre which has successfully
developed and currently belongs to the most modern establishments within East Germany.
To the most important members who founded our apprenticeship centre belong Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Neubrandenburg and district Waren. At present we have more than 100 members of the association.
Furthermore there should be mentioned the Media-Bus (Bus with modern
PC workplaces), which has been popularizing ÜAZ outside the region since
2000.
The ÜAZ offers many apprenticeship and training prepositions according to
the still varying economic conditions und job market needs.
ÜAZ offers various services:
- Vocational preparation
- Apprenticeship and traineeship in the following professions
(among others):
joiner, carpenter, metal worker, office clerk/office administrator,
shop assistant, cook, warehouse logistics assistant, construction worker for civil engineering, bricklayer, painter and decorator, etc. - Additional apprenticeship in collaboration with companies („Verbundausbildung” – Educational Partnership)
- Vocational retraining and extended vocational training
- Occupational advancement training
- Initiation of educational projects and employment market projects
In 2001 the new building of Müritz-Akademie had been opened and in this way the apprenticeship sector for the additional occupational advanced training gained its own, spacious and modern place. In consequence the first part of the name (Überbetriebliches) was changed to Überregionales Ausbildungszentrum.
The ÜAZ disposes of a certified quality management
(DIN EN ISO 9001:2000).
